In Memoriam Poems

Welcome to In Memoriam Poems

In our home (he)(she) is fondly remembered,
Sweet memories cling to (his)(her) name,
Those who loved (him)(her) in life sincerely
Still love (him)(her) in death just the same.

**

Many a day her name is spoken,
And many an hour she is in our thoughts,
A link in our family chain is broken,
She has gone from our home but not from our hearts.

**

Three little words, “Forget me not,’
Don’t seem much, but mean a lot.
Just a memory, fond and true,
To show, dear father, we think of you.

**

A loving mother, so gentle and kind,
What a wonderful memory she left behind.
Long days, long nights, she bore her pain.
To wait for cure, but all in vain.
Till God Himself knew what was best:
He took her home and gave her rest.

**

God saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine”.

**

Pleasant in manner, patient in pain,
Our loss is his eternal gain,
His cheery ways and smiling face,
Are a pleasure to recall;
He had a kindly word for each;
And died beloved by all.
