Engagement

Congratulations are in order-or so a little dicky bird says
That you two are finally getting hitched;
You've been together for many a year
But doing this your lives will be enriched.

**

Congratulations so who's the lucky one
You finally got your way!
She doesn't know what she's done
Have you named the day?

I think I'll whisper in her ear
No, don't grab hold of me like that;
I was only playing I know it's true
She's the cream and you're the cat.

So well done to the pair of you
I'm sure you'll be very, very happy;
It won't be long before the pair of you
Will be changing a baby nappy.

You two have decided that
You'll share one house for life,
And call yourselves, instead of friends,
A husband and a wife.

Graduation

Well Done! You've won
You're on the top of the pile;
You are so lucky
You were in front by nearly a mile.
They said you had a photographic memory
You've certainly proved them true;
Well done you've come out tops
So Harvard here we come, not me -only you!

You made it!
I always knew you would;
There's a star in the making
Look out world!
Whether on a mountain top
Or in a valley low, you'll always
make it through a storm
and find a rainbow.

**

Hoping you'll enjoy success
In everything you do
And that the very best in life
Will always come to you.

**

It's a pleasure to wish
Luck and happiness too,
For a graduate as special as you!

**

Passing your Driving Test

**

Congrats on passing your driving test
Don't drive faster
than your Guardian Angel can fly!

**

Well done! Now you want my car
I should've thought this through;
Silly me, when I booked you lessons
I thought other cars you'd view.

Mine was always not groovy enough
But now seems pretty good;
In racing green and leather seats
And dashboard made of wood.

Congratulations, anyway we can argue later on
As the reality of it all sinks in;
I'll get the P label to put on
And you can take me for a spin!

Well I never thought you'd get it
Lesson 34 it is;
But you've proved me wrong
You've gone and done the BIZ!
Congratulations!

A New Job

Congratulations finding yourself a new job
That's not an easy task these days;
You'll do very well I'm sure and
I said your persistence would pay.
So go on then and knock them dead
I'm sure you will you know;
You'll leave them standing at the start
As you will have got up and are full of go!

You've got the brains
And he's got the braun;
Builders you will be
Up at the crack of dawn.

Well done on your certificates
Outstanding was what they said;
So Congrats! are in order
New business 2 in 1 a head!

**

Well Done! You've got in the cricket team
Hold fast and bowl the ball;
The West Indies are the ones to beat
Or on the grounds you'll sprawl.
Good on your sporting dreams
I can't believe you've done it;
Enjoy success and good team spirit
Your name around the pitch now floodlit!
Congratulations my Friend!

Becoming a Parent

Families are the compass that guide us.
They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter.

I fell in love with a photo
Or a scan to be precise;
I didn't expect the emotions
Not once not twice but thrice.

I haven't even felt you move
You're only very small;
But I could see the shape of you
It looks like you'll be tall.

That's what the nurse said
How does she know?
I suppose she's used to this
Us parents feeling all of a glow!

Congratulations you're going to be a Mom
and Congratulations Dad to you;
May everything go very well
And over a newborn you will soon Coo!
Congratulations on being a Parent!!!!
