Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage;
This I tell you brother;
You can't have one without the other.

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage
It's an insitute you can't disparage;
Ask the local gentry
And they will say it's elementary.

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage;
Dad was told ny mother, you can't have
You can't have none, you can't have one without the other!
A few verses written by

I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,
A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife.

There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved
George Sands

We were very quiet sitting in the pew
We sat there and we listened as two hearts took their vows;
The pair of them we heard them say " I do"
We took extra notice so there could be no rows.

Whose turn is it anyway, I heard one of them ask
We knew eventually agreements need to be reached;
Who does what and when
As everyday chores on their lives impeach.

Agreeing what not to agree with is always a good start
It does really matter as you're talking hearts;
Relationships need working at, you have heard us say
Keeping close together so they never drift part.

I promise to give you the best of myself
and to ask of you no more than you can give.
I promise to respect you as your own person
and to realise that your interests, desires and needs
are no less important than my own.
I promise to share with you my time and my attention
and to bring joy, strength and imagination to our relationship.
I promise to keep myself open to you,
to let you see through the window of my world into my innermost fears
and feelings, secrets and dreams.
I promise to grow along with you,
to be willing to face changes in order to keep our relationship alive and exciting.
I promise to love you in good times and in bad,
with all I have to give and all I feel inside in the only way I know how.
Completely and forever.
Dorothy R Colgan

Happy marriages begin when we marry the ones we love,
and they blossom when we love the ones we marry.
