A gentle touch & loving comfort
A sweet sensation anytime;
In grief and loneliness it feels so special
Give it to me and make it mine.

Comfort and healing I remember it well
Her hands soft upon my cheek;
I will miss my mother so much
But she's been so ill this last week.

It's now time for her to go
For me to say Goodbye;
She looks at peace at long last
She knew she was going to die.

She taught me well & worried not
As I can do most things;
My love for life will carry me through
And my heart for her will sing!

Please wait I said, Please don't go
How much I love you, you'll never know;
The things we said and should've done
Now I can't do them with anyone.

The pain feels like a knife in my heart
We said that only death us do part;
It just hasn't sunk in yet I'm sure
That you're never coming through that door.

Forever sounds a long long time
Especially as now I don't give a dime;
Each second is so painfully slow
And all I want it to do is go.

The loss has left such a huge hole
My life is now so empty;
We lived for each other all alone
And now all seasons will be wintry

I will wear your ring on my finger
I will wear your love in my heart;
I'll love you always and forever
Infinite from the very start.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord

You know I'm here when you need me
No matter time of day or night;
Because  a shoulder will be what you need
Trust in me, I know I'm right.

As the days grow into weeks
Reality starts to seep in;
You'll never see them again
And the pain really kicks in.

You're not sure what to think or what to feel
Utter despair and a fear of the great unknown;
He's always been there by your side
But now you're all alone.

You've got the kids and family too
But it doesn't feel quite right;
There's a big hole in every day
There will be one there at night.

Call me and you can talk
You can say just what you like;
Shout and scream as I'm sure you will
Because there'll be no one quite like Mike!
