There will be a strange feeling
When you dwell in your home;
The first night almost daunting
As lights go and in the dark you roam.
The familiar things are just not there
It will take a while;
But before you know it
You'll be settled in with style.
So enjoy and just luxuriate within
Your lovely brand new home;
Playing with all the gadgets
Through the boxes you will comb.
Where is this and where is that
Is half the fun you know;
I'm sure the love and laughter
In your new home will only grow.

Here's hoping very avidly
Your house move will be trouble-free
And very soon you will be
Settled very comfortably

Lord, we ask you to bless this family
With a warm place by the fire when the world is cold,
A light in the window when the way is dark,
A welcoming smile when the road is long,
A haven of love when the day is done.
For the blessing of this home we give thanks.

May you have warm words
on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill
all the way to your door.

For all new habits to form
It takes quite a while;
Where's the T-bags?
That'll bring a smile.
The visit to the loo
In the middle of the night;
No longer done with eyes closed
Never mind it'll be alright
Getting things connected so that
Homework can still be done!
Much to the chagrin
Of almost everyone.
"Has anyone seen my"
Will become household words;
But only for a little while
It cuts washing by a third.
Boxes emptied now what's the rush
I have a date she screams;
My best shoes have gone and disappeared
And he's the one of my dreams.
New ways to drive back home
Many a turn taken as before;
Then you suddenly get there
And realise it's the wrong door.
Ooops! I've moved-Oh Silly me
Driving automatically again;
I will get the hang of this
And get to grips with my brain.
All these memories
Come flooding back to me;
So Best Wishes to One and all
Hope your new neighbours
Are just like thee.
Missing you already
Bountiful Happiness in your New Home

Your home is just a little house
But God knows where you live;
That is why it's full of love
And you have so much love to give.
**
I hear you have an exciting new home
New shops and new acquaintances;
A new neighbourhood and new schools
Unfolding into a wonderful experience.
Good Luck in your New Home

Where Children live
You may not find things all in place,
Friend, when you enter here,
But,we're a home where children live,
We hold them very dear.
And you may find small fingerprints
And smudges on the wall,
When the kids are gone, we#ll clean them up[
Right now, we're playing ball.
For there's one thing of which we're sure,
these children are on loan,
One day they're always underfoot,
Next thing you know they're gone.
That's when we'll have a well kept house,
When they're off on their own.
Right now, this is where the children live,
A loved and lived in home.
