I'm looking at a dark grey sky
Whilst I'm thinking of you;
Over there in all that sunshine
I hope you think of me too.
I know you're working hard
University couldn't be further away;
Maybe me and your dad will visit
After saving for many a day!
Are you sure that Thailand was the best
For what you wanted to do?
As long as you're okay
With all those young ladies to woo!
So take care my love
Whilst you're so far away;
I'll see you back home soon I hope
Then we'll celebrate your birthday!
Mom and Dad!

I look up at the moon at night
And I know you see it to;
I'll send my love via it tonight
Bringing it to you.
I miss you so and I know
That you miss me too;
Not long now and this trip done
In the flesh I will be seeing you!
Safe and home and in my arms
Is where you're gonna be;
That's all I worry about day and night
Just come home to me.

The deepness of the ocean
Scares me out of my wits;
How you can be a sailor
Shakes me all to bits.
You sail across the oceans
Thousands of miles a time;
I'm sending my love in waves to you
On your trip home - sublime!!
So keep safe sailor and watch your step
Upon the open briny;
As I know your captain likes his ship
All very bright and shiny.

I just thought I'd drop a line
As our holiday is now long gone;
It was lovely spending time with you
On that beach waiting for the dawn.
I didn't believe in long distance relationships
But now I think I do;
I have no problem with where you are
I just wish I was there to.
I'm not being pushy and it's up to you
I don't know if you feel the same;
But if you do I'll come over there
Cos I think love is the name of this game!

It doesn't matter where we go
We still do postcards every year;
It's 24 now this time round
I've always held you dear.
I wonder how many miles we've clocked
Since that time we met in Salou;
It must reach around the world
That's what I reckon-what about you?
**
I miss you being through the fence
It's just not the same anymore;
I liked hearing you whistle
And popping your head around the door.
As next door neighbours for 7 years
I've missed you so terribly;
But I hope to visit you sometime
When you're settled and free.
A few hundred miles between friends
It's not that bad really I think;
At least we've now got holidays
Visiting each other nod, nod, wink, wink!
